Bright Spark Wedding Trends

* If money is no problem why not give your guests an ipod nano loaded with your wedding songs.

* White wedding dress? Who wears them anymore? Well there are a few tradionalists left in the world, but for many the thought of getting married in white is not all that attractive. Why not choose a colour that best compliments you. Anything goes these days!

* Ever thought about hand delivering your invites? Best for smaller weddings of course, but a nice touch to your very special day

* Black wedding dresses? Don't laugh too loud, they are on the increase and are taking Europe by storm. Apparently Black is the new White!

* GO GREEN! There has never been a better time to become aware of the world around us. You can do your bit for the environment by offsetting your guests travel, giving your guests a seedling for them to take home and plant, or asking your guests to give money to your favourite eco-friendly charity rather than giving you gifts. Take a look at our Eco-Friendly Weddings article for more tips on planning an Eco-Friendly wedding.

Plan your entire Wedding using EBAY!

If you are strapped for cash, and need to be resourceful and creative when planning your wedding day, then look no further than EBAY.

You can plan your entire wedding on EBAY and save yourself thousands of dollars along the way. Remember that even if the items you are purchasing are used, they have more than likely only been used once!

You can ask sellers questions before you purchase and should be able to view a photo of the item also.

Some things to be aware of are:

- Payment options
- Returns policy
- Postage costs
- Feedback of the seller (just check to make sure there are no negative comments)

Make sure you leave plenty of time for everything to be delivered if using EBAY, you don't want to be worrying at the last minute.

EBAY will work to your budgets advantage, but be smart when making purchases. No one will even know the difference!

The Wedding Budget

Deciding on a wedding budget can be difficult, but it doesn’t have to be.

Traditionally, the Brides family paid for the entire Wedding. These days, the Wedding Budget tends to be split between both the bride and groom, and their families.

Use the attached spreadsheet to help you keep track of your wedding finances

Choosing a Marriage Celebrant

Your celebrant is an integral part of your wedding day, and you should be able to feel 100% at ease with your decision.

These days, celebrants are often referred to us either by word-of-mouth or by seeing a marriage performed by a particular celebrant, I know my celebrant was. I met him when he married my best friend, and he then in turn married me, who then married my brother-in-law, and who is marrying 2 other family members this November! It's so nice to know that your ceremony will be memorable, and it's even better to know you can rely on someone to ensure you have one less thing to worry about.

If you don't have the luxury of knowing someone, or having someone recommended, you should have a look on the following website http://www.ag.gov.au/. You'll find an extensive list of registered marriage celebrants in your area complete with contact details.

You only get one chance to create this memory. Make it good and do your homework.
